I often read allot all over the place and thus gather links and valuable information and bookmarks thats really worthwhile for others to read and get the information which is valuable as well if they don’t share the habbit.
So here are in my opinion a few very noteworthy links to some really good information you need to know if your very new to Star Trek Online (STO) or looking to start or try out STO. If your playing STO the information can be quite valuable as well since we are all still new at the game. I already linked this info on the sidebar on the blog for easy finding and reference to the linked blog as well.
BigBadB has a very superb STO blog at The Engines Cannae’ Take It and very good at breaking down the nuts and bolts of things so far. He has several very excellent detailed write ups so far. But for someone new this is what you really need to know on Character Basics starting out in STO especially having gone through it myself. Its a very solid write up in my opinion that really covers all you need to know and saves you allot of time making mistakes to say the least. And he’s done a very solid job of writing that as well. If I had read that when I was started STO it would of saved me allot of time and making mistakes. It should save you allot!
If you’ve read Character Basics linked above by BigBadB then the next thing to read that follows that up very well in a most excellent way is Skills: The Numbers. That is very vital information you really need to know and pay attention to with Skill Points and how to properly allocate them for the most benefit effectively and efficiently. That has great effect to leveling and combat skills as well planning for skills in later teirs effectively. Covers allot of detail you really need to know explained and another excellent piece in my opinion again as it was quite revealing since their is not much good info on how to best use skill points and everything about them.
